Attending Convention
Thanks for your interest in attending the BC NDP's 2019 Convention. Here's what you need to know:
We're looking forward to welcoming hundreds of BC NDP delegates to Convention this fall. They'll include Premier John Horgan, BC NDP MLAs, Constituency Presidents, Young New Democrats, plus delegates elected by constituency associations, affiliated organizations and others.
Delegate selection
Delegates are selected by constituency associations, the YND, and affiliated organizations.
If you would like to attend but haven't registered through your local BC NDP, email convention@bcndp.ca ask how.
Once selected, delegates will receive a personal link to an online registration page. Please note: All fees must be paid prior to a delegate being seated at Convention.
Our Provincial Executive has set the following Convention delegate fees.
- Early bird* delegate fee: $310
- Regular delegate fee: $360
- Youth (under 30) early bird* delegate fee: $125
- Youth (under 30) regular delegate fee: $175
*Early bird registration ends October 25, 2019.
OBSERVERS: If you are not a delegate but would still like to attend, you can register for Convention 2019 as a Member Observer or a Non-Member Observer.
Observer registration fees are:
- Member Observer fee: $200
- Non-Member Observer fee: $360

MEDIA: If you would like to attend as a member of the media, please email media@bcndp.ca to arrange for credentials.

Please note that only individuals registering on their own behalf, who are BC residents and Canadian citizens or permanent residents, may pay a registration fee. However, an individual's registration fee is not subject to the annual donation limit.
